Camila Cabello names her heroes

“We can be heroes, just for one day”

February 7, 2018

So, Camila Cabello has been tearing up the charts and dancefloors across the world. So of course, we’re all curious to what makes this former Fifth Harmony member tick and what makes her “Camila.” In a recent interview with NME, she talked about her growth as an artist, her path from one fifth of Fifth Harmony member to an international superstar, and even how interviews and social media have influenced how she portrays herself as a now solo artist. She even revealed, earlier interviews even moved her to change her album title.

She did say one thing that was a very ~just 90s kid~ moment:

“Growing up, I looked up to all the Disney girls like Selena, Demi, Miley, Taylor. Well, Taylor wasn’t a Disney girl, but you know what I mean. I feel like the people you look up to as a kid definitely influence you in some way. And because of that I wanna be a good influence on younger kids.”

So does this basically mean that Camila and I both cried a little bit at the end of Camp Rock when Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sang a duet/mashup of “This is Me” and “Gotta Find You”? We both know the lyrics of “Teardrops to my Guitar”? Damn, we have way more in common than I thought. She even made a very explicit Hannah Montana reference:

“It feels amazing. But it also feels like it’s not me, if that makes sense? I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s my twin’. It’s almost like Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus.”

Okay, that’s it for me. Check out the interview here
