Jay Z forgot to thank Beyoncé

Jay Z celebrated his Songwriters Hall of Fame induction on Twitter and thanked his influences in a string of tweets. One problem—he didn't mention his wife.

Jay Z was just inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (by none other than Barack Obama) and to celebrate, HOVA went OFF on Twitter. He should—as the first MC inducted, it’s one hell of a honour. And dude was so excited that he logged on and thanked pretty much everyone who’s ever inspired him. Well, almost.

Notice anyone missing? Namely, Beyoncé? His wife of nearly ten years, the mother of his child and the pregant-as-can-be carrier of two twins due any day now.

I mean, homie thanked everyone. In between struggling with Twitter’s reply function (someone get Jeet Heer to teach the man how to run a thread), Mr. Carter shouted out everyone from Pharaoh Monche to Playboi Carti. He got Rakim, Diddy, Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, and Big L.

And like, okay—he’s thanking rappers.

But Jay… SHE’S YOUR WIFE. You sent out 10 tweets. Maybe squeeze her in after your laundry list of legends past and present?

Tread lightly, Jay Z. Hell hath no fury like a pregnant Beyoncé… we assume?
