Our day with Hollerado and the Blue Jays

Hollerado took us out to the ball game!

May 17, 2017

Few bands work as hard as Hollerado. That’s no slight on anyone – but the boys from Ottawa don’t know how to take a break. On April 19th, they pulled double duty – in the afternoon, they threw out the first pitch at the Blue Jays game; at night, they headlined the INDIES and filled the Phoenix Concert Theatre with confetti. It’s not that we want to say they stole the show, but… they stole the show.

We were lucky that Hollerado invited us along to hangout with them that day, and luckier still that photographer Ryan Faist caught it all on camera. Whether it’s Jake and Menno taking out the trash at the band’s Royal Mountain studio or Dean tossing a fastball at the Rogers Centre, we were there. Faist captured giddy car rides, soundchecks, casual games of catch, and backstage, pre-show rituals.

Check out the band’s Blue Jay experience up top. Below, a little walkthrough of their more traditional #bandlife.
