Sunrise Records gave away sexist stickers during Canadian Music Week

They were handing out the stickers out at Yonge-Dundas square.

Local music festivals mean a lot of things. Usually it’s a nice jolt during an otherwise ordinary week, and at the very least, you can likely expect some free programming to come from it. This past weekend, during Canadian Music Week, Sunrise Records were handing out the following stickers at their booth during the Sloan show at Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto.

Evidently inspired by the double entendre, in this political climate, it’s kinda difficult to believe these are real. Interestingly enough, these haven’t popped up on social media. We’re curious and looking for answers. We’ve reached out to Sunrise Records for a comment.
