Wu-Tang prove “Climate Change Ain’t Nuttin to Mess Wit” with new mural

The legendary New York rap group have an important message for us during this heart wave.

In the middle of this inescapable summer heatwave, it’s best to take the advice of our friends in the Wu-Tang Clan and protect ya neck (with plenty of sunscreen). The Staten Island legends are aware how easy it is in this muggy heat to feel as if climate change rules everything around them, but the group has teamed up with a local artist to spread the awareness of these environmental issues.

The 2000-foot mural is the work of Staten Island artist Cody Prez, who through the blessings of the Wu transposed their iconic symbol into hurricane radar-vision, appropriately titling his piece “Climate Change Ain’t Nuttin to Mess Wit.”

The mural, which was made in collaboration with both the Staten Island Arts council and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, had its official unveiling this past Saturday, and has already been visited by Wu-affiliates such as their DJ and producer Mathematics (pictured above) and Redman:
