The Asylum is a film studio founded in 1997 that hit the money in 2005 when they released a low-budget War of the Worlds adaptation direct to video at the same time the monster-budget Spielberg one was in theatres.

But while Asylum has gained notoriety for their ability to churn out movies that have titles that sound like other movies, they’re not really mockbuster OGs.
